An Avalanche of Kinglets!

For Thanksgiving, it was a family reunion of sort. Kinglets decided to have their own private party by gathering in droves at Cabot Head. It was mostly impressive on Sunday when an Estimated Total of more than 2,000 were milling around the trees and 77 got banded. Thanks to Ted Cheskey (Ed.’s note: BPBO’s Past President and on of the organization’s founding members) and the ever diligent volunteers Emily and Maggie for holding the fort on this most stressful day, while yours truly was enjoying his first days off of the season in an opulent bed & breakfast nearby.

Before and after the ominous Sunday, it also was kinglets and kinglets, but thankfully, in more manageable hordes!
