Come and Gone!

After 2 days of whirling Pine Siskins flocks, they are mostly gone!  True, when you travel with hundreds and hundreds of your friends, food in one small area probably gets depleted fast and you need to move on.

So, we didn’t have a repeat of the massive catch of Monday. It is now mostly Juncos and Kinglets, the bread and butter of October, that are filling our nets, under azure and brilliant skies. It seems that summer is back, a far cry from the rain- and windstorm of last Friday. That day was a day of fury, with enormous waves breaking on the beach, and driving rain falling all day.
