A Feeling of Summer!
Finally, warm weather has arrived and it is time now to bask into it! We are certainly enjoying it, since there’s not much migration anymore to enjoy. It is now mostly breeding time, with birds on territories singing constantly, females being caught with brood patches, and no real movements seen (except for Blue Jays and Canada Geese).
On Friday, we might have had the last true migrant, a female Wilson’s Warbler. Since they don’t breed on the Bruce Peninsula, she was on her way North.
